Hi @coen nice to see you here! For the other people in the still growing group: Coen is one of my team mates in the Incubator Digital Autonomy of the Stimuleringsfonds voor de Journalistiek and one of the people helping us out with this site. When we have everyting up and running, I'll tell you more about our projects.

Hi @Adelina, good question and excellent idea! I created an Inspiration Screening group. Hopefully you can see it at the left. As Bonfire is so new, I might have to figure some things out myself. The group is open, but people have to "subscribe" to it to join. Would it be a good idea to set a date? And should I ask if we can use the screening room at HKU?

People in the Fediverse (which Bonfire is a part of) keep telling met dat the Brittanica entry on this planetary structure of instances al built on the same protocol Activity Pub is not too bad. So here as a starter a link to their website britannica.com/technology/fe...

This is my welcome message to the Eye Research Lab's Bonfire, an online community where we can share inter-academia research, questions, thoughts, inspirations etc. It is a work in progress. And it is up to us to animate it 😉 Hopefully in the days to come students and teachers will engage in exchanges and conversations. In this thread I will also post some more "how to" info. For instance: make a first post about yourself, and use #hashtags to highlight certain topics. More to come!
